Penn State Re(New) Kensington Campus Project
Project Overview
Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland (EGC), in coordination with Penn State University, Westmoreland County, the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, and regional partners, is leading a community-driven effort to re-envision the future of the Penn State New Kensington campus.
This initiative is focused on gathering public input to help shape a shared vision for the site. Plans for the site have not yet been decided, the property has not been sold, and no developers have been selected. This effort is the first step in gathering community input to explore ideas and priorities for its future.
Through an inclusive public engagement process, residents, businesses, alumni, and stakeholders are invited to help transform the campus into a forward-looking, community-centered asset that supports economic opportunity and reflects local needs.
